Jealous Wife in Lumajang Cuts Husband's Genitals with Razor Blade

A case of domestic violence occurred in Kunir Lor Village, Kunir District, Lumajang, East Java. A man with the initials FA (29) became the victim of abuse allegedly carried out by his wife, AY.

FA suffered serious injuries to his genitals after reportedly being cut by AY using a razor blade. Police said the act was committed because the perpetrator was overcome with jealousy.

“From the perpetrator’s statement, she deliberately cut her husband’s genitals because of jealousy,” said Lumajang Police Public Relations Head Ipda Suprapto on Saturday (15/8/2026), as reported by detikJatim.

After the incident, FA was immediately taken to Dr Haryoto Regional General Hospital in Lumajang. The victim is still undergoing treatment for his injuries.

“The victim is currently still receiving treatment at Dr Haryoto Hospital in Lumajang,” said Ipda Suprapto.

Meanwhile, the perpetrator has been taken into custody at the Lumajang Police headquarters.

Previously, the Head of Kunir Lor Village, Yudi Purnomo, said that upon receiving a report from residents he immediately went to check the scene.

“We received a report from residents. After checking, it turned out there was an incident of a wife committing abuse against her husband,” Yudi told detikJatim.

FA’s condition is gradually improving. This comes after he underwent surgery at Waluyo Jati Kraksaan Regional General Hospital on Monday (22/7/2024).

Waluyo Jati Kraksaan Hospital Public Relations officer Purnadi said the medical procedure carried out upon arrival at the emergency department was debridement surgery.

“The debridement surgery was performed for one hour. The victim is still in the recovery stage and is in the Asoka ward. It is likely that within three days, or possibly less than three days, he can go home,” said Purnadi on Tuesday (23/7/2024).

After slashing his genitals, Purnadi continued, the victim suffered a number of wounds from the razor blade cuts. Among them, there was a laceration on the left palm measuring 2x1 centimetres (cm) with a depth of 1 cm.

“In addition, there were lacerations on the genitals in four places, each measuring 1 cm by 1 cm with a depth of 1 cm. Considering that the patient’s wound condition could result in severe bleeding, surgery was performed for the sake of safety and comfort,” he concluded.
