JCI Weakens 0.35 Percent Over the Week

The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed at 5,875 on Friday, 3 July 2026. The index weakened 0.35 per cent over the week compared to the previous week’s close of 5,896. “Share trading data on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 29 June–3 July 2026 closed with changes,” said IDX Corporate Secretary Kautsar Primadi Nurahmad in an official statement on Friday. Market capitalisation decreased 0.14 per cent to Rp 10,287 trillion from Rp 10,302 trillion the previous week. The exchange’s average daily transaction frequency also fell from 1.73 million transactions to 1.44 million transactions this week, a decline of 16.71 per cent. Meanwhile, the average daily trading volume dropped 30.35 per cent to 17.54 billion shares from 25.18 billion shares the previous week. The average daily transaction value also decreased 35.90 per cent to Rp 11.27 trillion from Rp 17.58 trillion. On Friday, 3 July 2026, foreign investors recorded a net buy of Rp 6.08 billion. However, throughout 2026, foreign investors have recorded a net sell of Rp 74.42 trillion.
