JCI Weakens 0.35 Percent Over the Week

The Indonesia Composite Index (JCI) closed at the 5,875 level in trading on Friday, 3 July 2026. Consequently, the JCI weakened by 0.35 per cent over the week compared to last week’s closing level of 5,896.

“Stock trading data on the IDX (Indonesia Stock Exchange) for the period of 29 June—3 July 2026 closed with changes,” stated the Corporate Secretary of the IDX, Kautsar Primadi Nurahmad, in an official statement on Friday, 3 July 2026. Market capitalisation decreased by 0.14 per cent to Rp 10,287 trillion from Rp 10,302 trillion last week.

The average daily transaction frequency on the exchange over the week also experienced a decline from 1.73 million transactions to 1.44 million transactions this week. This figure represents a decrease of 16.71 per cent.

Furthermore, the average daily transaction volume decreased by 30.35 per cent to 17.54 billion shares from 25.18 billion shares in the previous week. The average daily transaction value also fell by 35.90 per cent to Rp 11.27 trillion from Rp 17.58 trillion in the previous week.

On Friday, 3 July 2026, foreign investors recorded a net buy of Rp 6.08 billion. However, throughout 2026, foreign investors have recorded a net sell of Rp 74.42 trillion.
