JCI Surges 2.82% in a Week, Foreign Investors Quietly Accumulate These Shares
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — Although foreign investors still recorded a net sell of Rp904.1 billion during the trading period of 15-19 June 2026, a number of shares remained targets for foreign funds with significant net buy values. Based on data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), shares of PT Merdeka Gold Resources Tbk (EMAS) recorded the largest foreign net buy accumulation last week, reaching Rp3.47 trillion. This was driven by a jumbo foreign transaction worth Rp3.7 trillion in the negotiated market. In second place, foreign investors booked a net buy of Rp915 billion on shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA). Next, shares of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) were targeted by foreign investors with net purchases reaching Rp327.2 billion. Other shares that also entered the foreign accumulation radar were PT Intiland Development Tbk (DILD) with a net buy of Rp127.2 billion and PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) at Rp94.2 billion. Meanwhile, the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) managed to record a positive performance throughout the trading week of 15-19 June 2026. The JCI strengthened 2.82% on a weekly basis to the level of 6,177.14, from the previous week’s position of 6,007.66. The market capitalisation of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) increased 2.51% to Rp10,788 trillion from Rp10,524 trillion the previous week. Meanwhile, the average daily transaction value edged down 1.02% to Rp24.81 trillion and the average daily transaction frequency shrank 10.33% to 2.24 million transactions. In the Southeast Asian region, the JCI’s 2.82% gain placed Indonesia as the third-best performing bourse after the Philippines, which rose 3.81%, and Singapore, which strengthened 3.32%.
