JCI Shines on Wednesday Morning, Supported by Key Sectors
The Indonesia Composite Index (IHSG) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened stronger on Wednesday morning, rising by 25.45 points or 0.39 per cent to the 6,625.39 position.
According to trading data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Wednesday, 2 September 2024, the LQ45 index, comprising 45 blue-chip stocks, rose by 2.31 points or 0.35 per cent to 656.72.
The increase was supported by gains in several stock sectors, including energy, technology, finance, healthcare, non-primary consumer goods, and primary consumer goods. Conversely, basic materials, property, and industrial stocks weakened.
The stocks with the most rapid price increases this morning were BSIM, which surged 25% to Rp 1,375; AIMS, which rose 24.75% to Rp 630; and BELI, which soared 24.54% to Rp 406. Rapid gains were also seen in SQMI stock, which climbed 23.53% to Rp 105.
Yesterday, the IHSG recorded an increase of 74.46 points (1.14%) to a new three-month high of 6,599.94, accompanied by net purchases of shares worth Rp 2.02 trillion. The largest contributors to this net buy were BBRI, amounting to Rp 841.01 billion, and BBCA, reaching Rp 435.35 billion.
