JCI Rises 0.84% in First Session, Foreign Net Sell Reaches IDR 349 Billion

Foreign capital outflows from the Indonesian stock market continued, even as the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) posted gains. By the end of the first session on Wednesday (1/6/2026), foreign investors had recorded a net sell of IDR 349 billion. Foreign transactions totalled IDR 1.9 trillion in purchases and IDR 2.3 trillion in sales. Banking stocks dominated the list of the ten shares with the largest foreign net sales. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) topped the list with a net sell of IDR 224.7 billion, followed by PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) at IDR 162.5 billion and PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA) at IDR 58.4 billion. Another major banking issuer, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI), also featured on the list with a net sell of IDR 50.4 billion. The ten shares with the largest foreign net sells during the first session were: PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) - IDR 224.7 billion; PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) - IDR 162.5 billion; PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA) - IDR 58.4 billion; PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) - IDR 50.4 billion; PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPI) - IDR 24.2 billion; PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) - IDR 20.0 billion; PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk (CPIN) - IDR 10.0 billion; PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) - IDR 9.5 billion; PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS) - IDR 9.3 billion; and PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (DEWA) - IDR 9.0 billion. Meanwhile, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) led the foreign net buy list with IDR 153.3 billion. Two other companies affiliated with tycoon Prajogo Pangestu followed: PT Petrindo Jaya Kreasi Tbk (CUAN) with IDR 32.6 billion and PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) with IDR 26.2 billion. The ten shares with the largest foreign net buy during the first session were: PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) - IDR 155.3 billion; PT Petrindo Jaya Kreasi Tbk (CUAN) - IDR 32.6 billion; PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) - IDR 26.2 billion; PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA) - IDR 24.5 billion; PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN) - IDR 17.7 billion; PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) - IDR 11.8 billion; PT Aneka Tambang (Persero) Tbk (ANTM) - IDR 10.9 billion; PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) - IDR 7.0 billion; PT Petrosea Tbk (PTRO) - IDR 6.6 billion; and PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL) - IDR 5.9 billion.
