Hendra Wardana, founder of Republik Investor, stated that the decline in the JCI and the Rupiah indicates that the market is currently in a phase of high uncertainty. In such conditions, investors tend to reduce exposure to risky assets and choose to wait for clarity regarding future economic policy directions. According to Hendra, for investors, the most important factor is not merely the potential for economic growth, but the level of certainty and credibility of a country’s policies. “Financial markets are very sensitive to changes in risk perception, so confidence is a decisive factor,” he told Tempo on Thursday, 4 June 2026.
