“The JCI is estimated to still consolidate in the range of 7,500-7,700,” said Alrich on Monday (20/4/2026).
On the domestic side, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market strengthened slightly at the close of trading on Monday. The Garuda currency strengthened by 21 points or 0.12 percent to Rp17,168 per US dollar.
This rupiah strengthening was supported by the policy of adjusting non-subsidised Fuel Oil (BBM) prices, which is deemed capable of dampening pressure on the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN).
Meanwhile, externally, China’s central bank has again maintained its main lending rate or Loan Prime Rate (LPR) at 3 percent for a one-year tenor and 3.5 percent for a five-year tenor in April 2026.
This step is seen as reflecting the cautious approach of China’s monetary authorities amid global uncertainties, although deflationary pressures are starting to ease.
Meanwhile, Head of Retail Research at MNC Sekuritas, Herditya Wicaksana, recommends several stocks to watch, namely PT Triputra Agro Persada Tbk (TAPG) in the range of Rp1,945-Rp2,050, PT VKTR Mobilitas Teknologi Tbk (VKTR) in the range of Rp1,005-Rp1,025, and PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) in the range of Rp795-Rp865.
