“The index weakened after crude oil prices reversed to strengthen due to President Trump’s speech on the Iran war,” said the Phintraco Sekuritas analysis team in their daily research on Thursday, 2 April 2026.
Crude oil prices strengthened again by more than 6 percent above the US$107 per barrel level due to Trump’s statements. In his state of the union address, Trump affirmed that Operation Epic Fury in Iran would continue until all strategic objectives were achieved.
Trump stated that the US would carry out hard strikes against Iran in the next two to three weeks, which would have a significant impact. He also emphasised that if no agreement was reached soon, the US would attack Iran’s infrastructure simultaneously.
Furthermore, Phintraco Sekuritas reported that several stocks remained resilient amid the market shock. Here are the three issuers with the highest price jumps (top gainers) among the 45 stocks in the LQ45 index.
