JCI Opens 0.9% Lower at 7,525.75 Today

The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) opened weaker at the start of trading today, Tuesday (21/4/2026). According to data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) around 09:03 WIB, the JCI fell 68.36 points or 0.9% to the level of 7,525.75. The JCI opened today at 7,560.28, higher than the previous close at 7,594.11. Throughout the early trading session, the index moved in the range of 7,523.63 to 7,568.99. Trading frequency was recorded at 149,300 transactions. Market capitalisation stood at around Rp13,381 trillion. In early trading today, 221 stocks strengthened, 295 weakened, and 443 stocks remained unchanged. KOMPAS100 also weakened by 1.14% to 1,037.92, while IDX30 fell 0.41% to 399.84. The Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) dropped 1.07% to 521.87, and the Indonesia Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) declined 0.84% to 272.71. Meanwhile, in the early trading session, the majority of sectors were in the red. Only the transportation and technology sectors strengthened, by 1.84% and 0.81% respectively.
