Jakarta, VIVA - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) dropped 0.88 per cent or 63.08 points during the first trading session on Friday, 27 March 2026. The correction caused the JCI to plunge to the 7,101 level.

The JCI moved within the range of 7,154 to its intraday low of 7,070. Trading value remained low, reaching only Rp5.69 trillion with a frequency of 774,200 transactions.

The industrial sector recorded the sharpest decline of 1.53 per cent. Other sectors experiencing corrections included infrastructure, down 1.30 per cent, and technology, eroding by 0.85 per cent.

Nevertheless, the transportation and health sectors managed to strengthen amid the JCI’s negative trend, rising 0.62 per cent and 0.39 per cent, respectively.

The Phintraco Sekuritas analysis team assessed this weakness as aligning with relatively high global uncertainties following the rejection of a US-proposed peace initiative by Tehran. The US government also plans to redeploy troops to the Middle East.

From a technical perspective, the JCI formed a long upper shadow pattern, reflecting dominant selling pressure in the upper area. Additionally, the JCI broke below the psychological support level at 7,200, with validation from the MACD indicator remaining in negative territory and its histogram widening further.

“Considering these fundamental and technical factors, the JCI is expected to potentially continue weakening and move within the 7,075–7,125 range in the second trading session today,” stated the projection from the Phintraco Sekuritas analysis team, as quoted from its research on Friday, 26 March 2026.

Phintraco Sekuritas also reported three top gainers at the peak of the 45 blue-chip stocks (LQ45) for posting the highest price jumps, including:

PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM)

ANTM shares surged 2.62 per cent or 90 points to 3,520.

Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk (CPIN)

CPIN shares rose 1.74 per cent or 70 points to 4,100.

PT Alamtri Minerals Indonesia Tbk (ADMR)

ADMR shares achieved a positive result of 1.29 per cent or 25 points to 1,970.
