JCI closes up 133 points to 7,710, with most stocks in the green
Jakarta, Kompas.com – The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) closed higher in trading on Thursday (5 March 2026). Based on data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), IHSG rose by 133.48 points or 1.76% to 7,710.54.
The IHSG opened at 7,695.35, higher than the previous close at 7,577.06. Throughout the session, the index touched a high of 7,765.61 and a low of 7,678.53.
Total trading volume reached 31.56 billion shares with a value of Rp 17.88 trillion and 2.015 million transactions. Market capitalisation was Rp 13,726 trillion.
Several main indices closed higher. LQ45 rose 15.37 points to 787.82. KOMPAS100 gained 18.47 points to 1,076.76. IDX30 added 8.93 points to 419.03.
Sharia indices also ended in the green. Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) rose 9.03 points to 513.97. Jakarta Islamic Index 70 (JII70) increased 3.34 points to 195.34, while Indonesia Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) rose 1.75%.
IHSG gains aligned with the majority of sectors closing higher. The cyclical sector led gains after rising 35.56 points or 3.40% to 1,080.52.
The infrastructure sector rose 42.09 points or 2.06% to 2,083.18. The health sector gained 36.32 points or 1.97% to 1,881.20, while the financial sector rose 23.39 points or 1.68% to 1,416.59.
The consumer non-cyclical sector gained 11.53 points or 1.59% to 734.55. The property sector rose 10.17 points or 1.03% to 994.81, the energy sector rose 29.68 points or 0.73% to 4,087.37, and the technology sector rose 52.19 points or 0.67% to 7,890.56.
Meanwhile, the transportation sector was the only sector to fall, down 2.38 points or 0.13% to 1,877.37.
