JCI Closes Up 1.1%, Breaching 6,100 Level

The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) closed up 66.24 points, or 1.1%, at 6,108.21 today, Thursday (16/6/2026). A total of 385 stocks advanced, 254 declined, and 326 were unchanged. Transaction value reached Rp 13.22 trillion, involving 26.23 billion shares across 2.27 million trades. Market capitalisation stood at Rp 10,659 trillion. Stocks that propelled the IHSG from the morning session included Amman Mineral (AMMN), Bank Mandiri (BMRI), Astra (ASII), and Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BBRI). The IHSG was held back throughout the day by DCI Indonesia (DCII). Although trading volume in the Toto Sugiri-owned company was very small, the decline in DCII’s share price trimmed around 15 points from the IHSG, making it the largest negative contributor to the index’s movement. DCII even pushed the IHSG into the red during the first 30 minutes of trading. DCII shares fell to a level of 183,900, weakening by approximately 7.4% from the previous close. However, by the end of trading, DCII pared its correction to 0.44%, easing the burden on the IHSG. Meanwhile, foreign investors still recorded net selling in the regular market up to session one. Foreigners booked a net buy of Rp 1 trillion due to a jumbo transaction in the negotiated market related to shares of PT Perdana Karya Perkasa Tbk (PKPK), valued at Rp 1.44 trillion. Overall, foreign transaction value in session I was recorded at Rp 4.19 trillion, with details of foreign buy at Rp 2.60 trillion and foreign sell at Rp 1.59 trillion. PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA) was the stock most heavily sold by foreigners, with a net sell value of Rp 60.83 billion. Foreigners also offloaded shares of Raffi Ahmad’s newly listed company, PT Rans Entertainmen Indonesia Tbk (RANS), worth Rp 43.36 billion. Selling pressure also hit PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) at Rp 30.21 billion, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) at Rp 24.63 billion, PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT) at Rp 17.25 billion, and PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) at Rp 13.79 billion.
