JCI Closes Up 0.77 Per Cent to 6,234, All Major Indices End in Green
The Indonesia Composite Index (JCI) closed the final trading session of the week, Friday, 31 July 2026, in the green. The index’s gains were accompanied by all major indices on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), which all ended the session with increases.
According to trading data, the JCI closed at 6,234.071, up 0.77 per cent compared to the previous close. During intraday movement, the index reached a high of 6,236.62 and a low of 6,201.89 before ultimately finishing above the 6,230 level. This strengthening aligns with positive sentiment in Asian and global stock markets.
Throughout the trading session, the JCI opened at 6,219.62 and remained stable in the positive zone until closing. The increase adds optimism to market participants ahead of the month transition, as the index successfully maintained its upward trend.
All Major IDX Indices Strengthen Together
Not only the JCI, but all major indices on the Indonesia Stock Exchange also closed in the green. Based on the trading summary, the index movements were recorded as follows:

LQ45 strengthened by 0.51 per cent to 622.019

This condition indicates that the majority of large-cap stocks continued to support market strength during the final trading day of the week.
Big Cap Stocks Support the JCI
A number of large-cap stocks were recorded as the main contributors to trading activity. Shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) closed up 175 points to the 6,450 level. Throughout the session, this stock moved within the 6,250–6,450 range with a transaction value of approximately Rp974.77 billion.
Furthermore, shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) rose 70 points to 2,990, with a transaction value of around Rp656.28 billion. Shares of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) also ended positively after rising 70 points to the 4,160 level, with a transaction value of approximately Rp419.10 billion.
In the telecommunications sector, shares of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) rose 110 points to 2,670. In addition to banking stocks, several other issuers also recorded price increases, including BACH, BULL, AMMN, BUMI, and MDIA.
