JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) closed weaker during trading on Thursday (22/4/2026). According to data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), the JCI fell 17.77 points or 0.24% to the level of 7,541.61.

Throughout the trading session, the JCI moved in the range of 7,513.94 to 7,578.05 after opening at 7,528.34.

Stock movements in the market today were relatively balanced with a tendency to weaken. A total of 459 stocks strengthened, 251 weakened, and the rest were stagnant.

Trading activity was quite high. The transaction volume reached 47.54 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp18.03 trillion.

From the perspective of benchmark indices, pressure was also evident in several major indices. The LQ45 fell 1.04% to 735.97, the JII weakened 0.88% to 515.13, the KOMPAS100 declined 0.80% to 1,031.20, and the JII70 corrected 0.40%.

Meanwhile, the IDX30 still recorded a gain of 0.19% to 401.42.

From the sectoral side, index movements showed a varied pattern.

The transportation sector recorded the highest increase of 4.76%, followed by cyclical consumer goods at 1.21%, industrials at 1.14%, infrastructure at 1.09%, and finance at 1.05%.

On the other hand, several sectors weakened. Basic materials fell 0.68%, energy corrected 0.16%, and property weakened slightly by 0.03%.

Among the leading LQ45 stocks, several recorded significant gains. PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk (BBTN) became the top gainer with a rise of 6.39% to Rp1,415.

Followed by PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) which rose 4.35% to Rp6,600, and PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) which strengthened 3.09% to Rp3,000.

Next, PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI) rose 2.68% to Rp3,830, PT Mitra Keluarga Karyasehat Tbk (HEAL) strengthened 2.51% to Rp1,225, and PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) rose 2.10% to Rp26,800.
