“Positive sentiment came from the correction in crude oil prices due to easing concerns over renewed escalation between the US and Iran,” stated an analyst from Phintraco Sekuritas in their daily research on Wednesday, 6 May 2026.
A day earlier, President Donald Trump temporarily halted the Freedom Project due to progress in the process of reaching an agreement with Iran. This operation was a US effort to guide commercial ships out of the Strait of Hormuz.
Technically, Phintraco Sekuritas views that the JCI successfully closed above the MA5. The movement was accompanied by a narrowing of the negative histogram on the MACD, as well as the Stochastic RSI moving up from the oversold area.
