JCI Closes Down 0.46% at 7,559.38

The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) closed lower in trading today, Tuesday (21/4/2026). The JCI fell 34.73 points or 0.46% to the level of 7,559.38. Throughout the trading session, the JCI moved within the range of 7,511.83 to 7,568.99, with an opening level at 7,560.28. Based on data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), the share trading volume reached 40.77 billion shares, with a trading frequency of 2.665 million times. Nevertheless, the movement of shares at the close of trading today was dominated by gains. A total of 405 shares strengthened, 283 shares weakened, and 271 remained unchanged. Meanwhile, local indices also turned red. The LQ45 closed down 1.61% at 743.67, while the KOMPAS100 fell 0.99% to 1,039.51. The energy sector dropped 1.02% to 4,084.79, while the infrastructure sector fell 0.07% to 2,174.42. On the other hand, the basic materials sector rose 2.33% to 2,355.54, while the chemicals sector strengthened 1.54% to 1,151.68. Meanwhile, the technology sector rose 1.1% to 8,146.82, the transportation sector increased 1.61% to 2,128.73, and the industrials sector rose 2.58% to 2,222.42.
