JCI Closes Down 0.26% at 6,971.03 Today

The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) closed lower in trading today, Tuesday (7 April 2026). The JCI fell 18.40 points or 0.26% to the level of 6,971.03.

Throughout the trading session, the JCI moved in the range of 6,942.63 to 7,022.04, with an opening level of 6,989.43.

Based on data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), the share trading volume reached 25.53 billion shares, with a trading frequency of 1,745 thousand times.

The movement of stocks at the close of trading today was dominated by weakness. A total of 261 stocks strengthened, 431 stocks weakened, and 266 remained unchanged.

Several local indices also turned red. The LQ45 closed down 0.86% or 6.10 points to the level of 701.66, while the KOMPAS100 fell 0.76% to the position of 957.71.

The deepest pressure was experienced by the industrial sector, which fell 24.76 points or 2.63% to the level of 1,815.80.

The basic materials sector weakened 0.08% to the position of 1,976.16, while the property sector corrected 0.82% to the level of 907.66.

The health sector was also observed to weaken 0.34 to the position of 1,780.60, the technology sector fell 0.96% to the level of 7,427.78, and the transportation sector dropped 1.35% to the position of 1,806.15.
