JCI Closes at 6,177 This Week with Market Capitalisation of Rp 10,788 Trillion
The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) reported mixed trading data for the week of 15–19 June 2026. The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed at 6,177, with market capitalisation reaching Rp 10,788 trillion. The highest weekly increase in the JCI was 2.82 percent, closing at 6,177.139, up from 6,007.656 the previous week. Market capitalisation rose 2.51 percent to Rp 10,788 trillion from Rp 10,524 trillion the prior week. Meanwhile, other performance indicators declined. The average daily transaction value fell 1.02 percent to Rp 24.81 trillion from Rp 25.06 trillion. Average daily trading volume decreased 5.83 percent to 34.03 billion shares from 36.14 billion shares. Average daily transaction frequency also dropped 10.33 percent to 2.25 million transactions from 2.51 million transactions. Foreign investors recorded a net sell of Rp 3.19 trillion at the end of the week, with total net foreign selling reaching Rp 68.25 trillion year-to-date in 2026. During the week, the IDX carried out several activities aimed at strengthening transparency and literacy to bolster the resilience of the capital market sector.
