JBL Soundgear Clips Emerald Green: Matrix-Inspired Transparent Earbuds

The transparent electronics trend is peaking once more thanks to JBL’s latest innovation. The renowned audio manufacturer has launched the JBL Soundgear Clips Emerald Green Special Edition, a colour variant that brings futuristic aesthetics to a new level. With a transparent green finish, the earbuds appear to have stepped straight out of the digital code of the iconic film The Matrix. The Emerald Green variant is a special edition that complements JBL’s previous transparent collections, including Blue Ghost, Black Ghost, White Ghost, Purple Ghost, and Copper Ghost. However, the combination of translucent green casing, darker internal accents, and gold JBL logos creates a stronger and more distinctive visual character. Although transparent designs are no longer new in the audio industry, given brands like Nothing’s popularity, JBL has differentiated itself with a functional open-ear format. However, according to current information, the Emerald Green edition is exclusively available in China via JD.com. Technically, this edition is a design refresh with the same hardware specifications as the standard Soundgear Clips model. The device features SonicArc design with OpenSound Technology using air conduction, designed to maintain user audio privacy while allowing awareness of ambient sounds. The JBL Soundgear Clips Emerald Green Special Edition is priced at 999 yuan in China, equivalent to approximately £110 or Rp2.3 million at current exchange rates. To date, JBL has not announced any plans for a global release of this colour variant. Fans of retro-futuristic gadget aesthetics are eagerly anticipating its international launch.
