KOMPAS.com - Audio device manufacturer JBL has officially announced its latest line of TWS (True Wireless Stereo) devices, namely the JBL Live Buds 4, JBL Live Beam 4, and JBL Live Flex 4.

All three models are part of the JBL Live 4 series, which brings a number of improvements, ranging from audio quality, noise cancelling, to the latest generation Smart Charging Case.

The JBL Live 4 series is the successor to the JBL Live 3 series, which debuted globally in June 2024.

As a successor, JBL states that Live 4 is the first series to use JBL Smart OS 3.0, a new software for the Smart Charging Case which now comes with a larger screen, a new interface, and more complete personalization options.

Even though they are all part of the Live 4 series, JBL presents three models with different designs.

The JBL Live Buds 4 uses an in-ear design with full silicone ear tips. This model is designed to provide tighter sound isolation, making it suitable for users who want maximum ANC.

Meanwhile, the JBL Live Beam 4 comes with a stem in-ear design, similar to Bluetooth TWS with a stem and silicone ear tips. This model offers a combination of a more stable fit and a modern stem earbud look.

Different again is the JBL Live Flex 4 which uses a semi-open design without silicone ear tips. These wireless earphones are more focused on comfort and a more open listening sensation because the earbuds do not completely close the ear canal.

The Live Buds 4 and Live Beam 4 both use a 10 mm dynamic driver, while the Live Flex 4 comes with a larger 12 mm driver.

All three models also support Hi-Res Audio, JBL Spatial Sound, and Personi-Fi 3.0 for personalizing the audio character according to the user’s hearing.

For noise cancelling features, all models use 4-mic True Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0.
