Jazzy duet to play on Friday

JAKARTA (JP): Contemporary jazz pianist David Benoit and guitarist Earl Klugh are scheduled to perform in the city on Friday

Not only will they play the hits of their solo albums, they will also entertain their audience with their new compositions during the show at Mandarin Hotel at 8 p.m.. All numbers will be rearranged to suit the taste of their Indonesian fans.

Among Benoit's hits are Heavier than Yesterday, Can You Imagine, and Stages. He also worked on the music for Warner Bros' The Stars Fell on Henrietta and Disney's Cinderella, as well as a number of TV series.

Klugh, who joined George Benson's Band at the age of 17, is well-known for Crazy For You, Collaboration, One To One and Move.

The musicians will also perform in Bandung on Thursday and in Surabaya on Saturday. (sim)
