Jayapura (ANTARA) - The Jayapura Police have opened a service post for complaints from the public, particularly those whose two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicles were burnt, lost, or damaged during the riots at Lukas Enembe Stadium, Jayapura Regency, Papua, on Friday (8/5). “To the people of Jayapura Regency and surrounding areas who have been affected or become victims of the riots at Lukas Enembe Stadium, please make a report at the Jayapura Police regarding vehicles that are lost, damaged, or burnt,” said the Head of Criminal Investigation at Jayapura Police, AKP Alamsyah Ali, to ANTARA in Jayapura on Saturday. According to Ali, affected residents can bring their identity cards (KTP) and proof of vehicle ownership, such as STNK or BPKB, to the service post at Jayapura Police located in Doyo Baru, Waibu District. “The post is open during service hours, so we urge the public whose vehicles are damaged or burnt to come immediately to Jayapura Police,” he said. He explained that his team has also conducted examinations of 14 people who were secured in connection with the riots at Lukas Enembe Stadium. “Tonight, we must complete the examination process for these 14 people to determine each of their roles,” he added. He stated that if these 14 individuals are not proven to be involved in the riots at Lukas Enembe Stadium, they will be returned to their families. Data obtained by the police indicates that 64 two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles were burnt, damaged, and lost.
