Jayapura people want transportation

JAYAPURA: The residents of Kemtuk Gresy district in the
regency of Jayapura, Irian Jaya, want more buses, including
school buses, as promised by the provincial administration.

Kemtuk Gresy district head Dellila Giay said here on Thursday
that the district had received only six of nine buses promised by
the provincial administration.

Dellila said that buses were essential to the people's
mobility, especially when they traded their crops in Jayapura.

"The buses have not only been operating in the district but
also in the villages," she said. "We call on the Jayapura regency
executives and legislature to help us get the other three buses."
