Jayaloka Police Team Repairs Bridge Embankment to Ensure Resident Safety

The bridge embankment in Jayaloka, Musi Rawas, South Sumatra, which had been damaged by landslides, has been repaired through a collaborative effort between the police and the residents of Purwodadi Village. This community service was conducted as part of the ‘Bersih Lingkungan dan Asri’ (Belida) initiative.

Previously, the base of the bridge embankment was damaged by landslides and left with potholes. This condition was a cause for concern, as it posed a potential danger to members of the public during transit.

“Through this activity, the Jayaloka Police Station, together with the community, is striving to repair damaged public facilities so they can be used safely again. The presence of the National Police is expected to provide direct benefits to the citizens,” stated the Chief of Musi Rawas Police, AKBP Agung Adhitya Prananta, on Saturday (6/6/2026).

The repairs were carried out on Friday (5/6) at 15:00 WIB. This bridge repair also serves as a form of support for the ‘Indonesia ASRI’ movement and is part of a series of social service activities commemorating the 80th Bhayangkara Day in 2026.

“We hope this activity can increase collective awareness regarding the maintenance of public facilities. If the environment is well-maintained and the facilities used by the community are in good condition, then the safety of the residents can be better preserved,” he added.

During this occasion, police personnel and residents also strengthened their synergy by demonstrating shared care for public infrastructure. According to Agung, such social service is not only oriented towards cleanliness and environmental repair but is also a way to maintain public security and order through a humanistic and persuasive approach that directly addresses the needs of the people.
