'Jayakarta' GM died

JAKARTA (JP): The general manager of the Jakarta-based
Jayakarta, daily, Hadi Soepeno, died on Saturday.

The 58-year-old retired army colonel died after being treated
at the St. Carolus Catholic hospital, Jakarta, for lung cancer.
His body will be buried today.

According to press statements released by Jayakarta, Soepeno
had been operated on for his illness.

He had been the general manager at the daily since 1988. He is
survived by his wife, seven children and one grand child. (sur)
