PT Jawa Satu Power (JSP) continues to demonstrate its capacity and commitment to supporting the reliability of the national electricity system through the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the Jawa Satu Gas and Steam Power Plant (PLTGU). As a power plant integrated into the 500 kV Java-Madura-Bali (Jamali) interconnection system, PLTGU Jawa Satu plays a role in supporting electricity supply for communities in Java, Madura, and Bali.

Currently, PLTGU Jawa Satu is operating both units and serving the needs of the Jamali grid. Unit 1 has returned to operation after undergoing maintenance. It should be noted that load allocation is fully determined by PLN’s Load Control Centre (P2B).

“Operational reliability is our top priority in carrying out our role as part of the Java-Bali electricity system. Currently, PLTGU Jawa Satu is operating well and is ready to support system needs according to the load settings determined by PLN. The completion of Unit 1 maintenance ahead of schedule also reflects our team’s readiness and dedication to maintaining reliable electricity supply for the community,” said PT Jawa Satu Power President Director Dwi Murray on Thursday (11/6/2026).

As part of its efforts to maintain plant reliability, JSP consistently implements periodic maintenance programmes in accordance with operational standards and industry best practices. Through the team’s hard work, Unit 1 maintenance activities were completed ahead of the original schedule, allowing the unit to be ready to contribute again to meeting the electricity system’s needs.

JSP will continue to strengthen synergy and coordination with PLN and all stakeholders to ensure the availability of reliable, sustainable, and high-quality electricity supply for the community. In its operations, PLTGU Jawa Satu runs within an interconnection system, where the loading of all power plants is centrally managed by PLN through the Load Control Centre (P2B) according to system requirements.

“As one of the largest combined-cycle power plants in Asia, Jawa Satu Power has a significant responsibility to consistently deliver reliable and efficient operational performance. With the support of the latest generation combined-cycle technology and competent human resources, we are committed to continuing to provide optimal contributions to national energy security and electricity system reliability,” added Dwi Murray.

The operational reliability of PLTGU Jawa Satu is part of the company’s commitment to supporting national energy security and meeting Indonesia’s growing electricity needs. With an installed capacity of 1,760 MW, PLTGU Jawa Satu is one of the largest gas and steam power plants in Asia. The plant also adopts the latest generation combined-cycle technology, designed to generate electricity more efficiently, reliably, and in an environmentally friendly manner, enabling it to make an optimal contribution to the national electricity system.
