Java speeds up development
SEMARANG: The provincial administrations of Central and East
Java have agreed on closer cooperation in order to speed up
development in their respective border regencies.
"We are designing the legal basis for the cooperation,"
Chairman of the Central Java provincial legislative council
Soeparto said here yesterday.
He said a joint team would also be set up to work out the
details of the cooperation.
The two provinces intend to work together in the fields of
agriculture, industry, the environment, public administration and
transportation.
He added that the funds to finance the cooperation would come
from the local and state budgets, Antara reported. (rms)
