A fire at a warehouse complex on Jalan Industri Raya in Jatiuwung, Tangerang, had still not been extinguished by the third morning. Ten warehouses at the site have now been affected by the blaze.

Footage sent by the Tangerang City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) showed firefighters continuing to tackle the fire. The video was recorded at 5am on Thursday (22 October 2026).

Hotspots were still visible in the darkness, and firefighters said several areas remained alight.

“The latest situation is near the mess hall at the very back. There is still one hotspot, and red flames can still be seen in the Momoyo section,” a firefighter said in the video.

Andia S Rahman, head of emergency and logistics at the Tangerang City BPBD, said the fire had spread beyond the Momoyo ice-cream warehouse to nearby premises, including a Shopee parcel warehouse and a shoe warehouse.

“Ten warehouses [have been affected by the fire],” Andia said.

Andia added that heavy machinery had arrived at the scene.

“The heavy machinery is there to clear the burned area, which is covered by debris,” he said.

Earlier, a warehouse producing ice cream on Jalan Industri Raya in Jatiuwung, Tangerang, caught fire, sending thick smoke high into the air.

“The fire is at the Momoyo warehouse,” Jatiuwung Police Chief Commissioner Kresna Perkasa said in a statement on Tuesday (20 October).

According to witnesses, the fire was believed to have started with an electrical short circuit before spreading to a cardboard storage area.

“Information from witnesses indicates that sparks from an electrical short circuit initially ignited the cardboard storage area in the warehouse, causing the fire to grow,” he said.
