Jatis plans JV in Malaysia

JAKARTA (JP): PT Jatis, a local company providing information technology service, said on Wednesday that it planned to establish a joint venture company in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Jatis' executive officer Jusuf Sjariffudin said the company was negotiating with a Malaysian company to establish the joint venture.

The joint venture, which will have an initial investment of US$300,000, will operate in Internet banking and portals.

He said Jatis would explore business opportunities in Internet banking and vertical portals to benefit from growing demand in Malaysian market.

Jatis offers consulting service, software development and project management in banking, manufacturing, distribution and telecommunication companies, such as content provider service and payment clearing house service for financial and banking industries.

Jusuf said the company opened an office in Singapore last year. (07)
