Jatiluhur Dam CCTV Blind Spot Exposed After Security Guard's Death
The management of the Jatiluhur Dam has acknowledged that the location where a security guard was found dead was not covered by any of the 27 CCTV cameras installed at the strategic national asset. Perum Jasa Tirta II President Director Imam Santoso stated that while three cameras are positioned in the Ubrug area, the crime scene was approximately two kilometres outside their range, which is focused solely on the dam’s vital infrastructure. He confirmed that an evaluation of the surveillance system will be conducted in coordination with the police. The deceased guard, Sumarna, was a registered employee of a partner vendor, and his family has received a total of Rp 418.13 million in compensation, including work accident insurance, old-age benefits, a pension lump sum, and educational scholarships for his two children.
