Jasindo-Led Consortium Pays Rp 17.6 Billion Claim to Religious Affairs Ministry
PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia (Persero), known as Asuransi Jasindo, as chair of the State Property Insurance Consortium, has handed over an insurance claim payment of Rp 17.6 billion to the Environmental Fund Management Agency (BPDLH). The claim, under the State Property Insurance scheme with Disaster Pooling Fund financing, covers assets belonging to the Ministry of Religious Affairs that were damaged by disasters in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra in 2025.
The symbolic handover took place during the Implementation of State Property Insurance with Disaster Pooling Fund 2026 event, organised by the Directorate General of State Assets at the Ministry of Finance in Jakarta. The claim was presented by Asuransi Jasindo’s Director of Operations, Ocke Kurniandi, to BPDLH Director of Distribution Damayanti Ratunanda and the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ Head of Finance and State Property Bureau, Ahmad Hidayatullah. The ceremony was witnessed by the Director General of State Assets at the Ministry of Finance, Evita Manthovani, and other members of the consortium.
Ocke Kurniandi stated that the claim payment represents a tangible role for Asuransi Jasindo and the consortium in protecting state assets and supporting accelerated post-disaster recovery. He emphasised the company’s commitment to ensuring optimal protection for strategic government assets, noting that planned risk management helps the government speed up the recovery of disaster-affected state assets, thereby maintaining the continuity of public services.
Director General Evita Manthovani highlighted that Indonesia’s position in the Ring of Fire exposes it to high disaster risk. She stressed that insuring state assets is not merely about regulatory compliance but is a crucial part of strengthening national fiscal resilience through the accelerated recovery of damaged government assets.
The claim payment follows losses incurred during the period of 25-30 November 2025, under a State Property Insurance policy with BPDLH as the insured, acting on behalf of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The insured objects receiving the payout are ministry assets located in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra that suffered disaster-related damage. This disbursement is the first claim payment under the State Property Insurance scheme with Disaster Pooling Fund financing, showcasing the tangible benefits of the risk transfer mechanism in supporting rapid post-disaster recovery of state assets.
The programme, part of the government’s Disaster Risk Finance and Insurance strategy, has been implemented since 2019 and has shown positive growth. The total sum insured for state assets has risen from Rp 10.73 trillion during the pilot project in 2019 to Rp 92.22 trillion in 2025. For the 2026 implementation, the scheme provides protection for 20,838 state property objects with a total sum insured of Rp 29.19 trillion, covering educational buildings under the Ministry of Religious Affairs, health facilities under the Ministry of Health, and office buildings under the Ministry of State Secretariat.
As a state-owned general insurance company with over five decades of experience, Asuransi Jasindo continues to strengthen its role in supporting strategic government programmes by providing comprehensive risk management solutions. The company remains committed to delivering reliable protection for national strategic assets and contributing to more robust risk governance in Indonesia. Ocke added that Asuransi Jasindo will continue to strengthen synergy with the government and all consortium members to professionally manage state asset risks, ensuring that the entire protection process, from underwriting to claim settlement, is conducted swiftly, transparently, and accountably.
