PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) ensures services remain optimal through road maintenance works as part of efforts to maintain infrastructure quality while enhancing the safety and comfort of road users’ journeys.

Senior Manager Representative Office 1 of PT JTT, Amri Sanusi, in Bekasi on Tuesday, explained that maintenance activities on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll section at Km 28+175 towards Cikampek are being carried out in phases on two lanes—lanes four and three—encompassing several technical procedures.

The stages of work include dismantling the existing pavement, preparing the subgrade, placing selected borrow fill, installing geotextile, and spreading the road pavement layers.

“Currently, the work has entered the stage of spreading Base A on Lane 3, and the entire series of activities is carried out prioritising safety aspects for both road users and on-site personnel,” he said.

The company supports traffic engineering in the form of situational contraflow at the discretion of the police from Km 23 to Km 28 towards Cikampek as a precautionary measure against potential vehicle congestion around the work location during the ongoing activities.

“The implementation of contraflow is carried out situationally, adjusting to the on-site traffic volume conditions to maintain the smoothness of road users’ journeys,” he stated.

The work is being conducted over an area of approximately 50 metres on the Cikampek-bound lane with situational traffic management while ensuring the operation of other lanes so that traffic continues normally.

Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT JTT, Ria Marlinda Paallo, added that the maintenance activities represent the company’s commitment to preserving the reliability of toll road infrastructure with high traffic mobility.

“We continuously perform periodic maintenance as an effort to maintain service quality for road users. With infrastructure conditions kept in good shape, it is hoped that road users’ journeys can proceed more safely, comfortably, and smoothly,” she said.

The company apologises for any inconvenience that may be experienced by road users due to these maintenance activities and appreciates the patience and understanding of road users during the works.

It also advises road users to plan their travel times, ensure vehicles are in prime condition, confirm sufficient electronic money balance, and always be cautious and comply with traffic signs as well as instructions from on-site personnel.

Road users can access the latest information and request toll road traffic services through Jasamarga’s 24-hour call centre at number 133, the Travoy application, and official Jasamarga social media.
