Karawang (ANTARA) - PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) is strengthening routine maintenance on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road section as part of its commitment to maintaining infrastructure reliability, service quality, and road user safety and convenience.

Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal at PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated in Karawang on Sunday that as one of the vital corridors with high traffic volume in the Trans Jawa network, road surface conditions must be maintained through preventive and measured steps to ensure it remains fit and safe for use.

On Thursday (26 February), JTT completed patching work at 172 locations on Lane A towards Cikampek (kilometre 07+500 to kilometre 71+850). Additionally, maintenance was also carried out at 82 locations on Lane B towards Jakarta (kilometre 71+300 to kilometre 19+315) as well as at the Cikarang Timur off-ramp.

JTT also undertook road reconstruction at the Dry Port off-ramp lane 2, commencing Friday (27 February) through Monday (2 March), to ensure the pavement structure remains reliable, particularly in areas experiencing heavy traffic loads.

All work was executed with coordinated traffic management and information dissemination through Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) to provide advance notice to road users.

Ria Marlinda Paallo stated that each project is undertaken with careful planning and safety measures in accordance with standards.

“This maintenance is part of our responsibility in maintaining toll road quality,” she said.

The company apologised for any inconvenience caused during the work period and appreciated the patience and understanding of road users.

JTT urged road users to exercise caution, maintain safe distances, comply with road signs and follow instructions from field personnel.
