Jasamarga: National one-way system still in place to address congestion
Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) has stated that the national one-way traffic engineering from KM 70 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road to KM 414 at the Kalikangkung toll gate on the Batang-Semarang Toll Road remains in effect. “The one-way system is implemented at the discretion of the police to support the smooth flow of vehicles for Eid al-Fitr homecoming traffic heading to the eastern Trans Java region,” said VP Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, in her statement in Karawang, West Java, on Thursday. It was mentioned that, following an evaluation of on-site traffic conditions, adjustments have been made to the traffic engineering regarding the previous implementation of a local one-way system from KM 414 at the Kalikangkung toll gate on the Batang-Semarang Toll Road to KM 459 at Salatiga on the Semarang-Solo Toll Road. With these adjustments, traffic conditions on the Semarang ABC to Semarang-Solo Toll Road sections have now returned to normal in both directions. Ria Marlinda stated that the discontinuation of the local one-way system was carried out after considering the monitored traffic conditions, which have gradually come under control. “Since 21:00 WIB, the local one-way traffic engineering from KM 414 Kalikangkung to KM 459 Salatiga has been halted, given that the traffic volume on that section has returned to normal,” she said. Meanwhile, the national one-way traffic engineering continues to be enforced from KM 70 Cikampek Utama to KM 414 Kalikangkung and will continue to be monitored jointly with the police to ensure the smooth flow of homecoming traffic. Road users are urged to remain cautious while driving, maintain safe distances, ensure sufficient e-money balances, and follow the directions of on-site officers and applicable traffic signs.
