PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded a surge in public mobility towards the eastern Trans Java region during the homecoming period from 11 to 22 March 2026, reaching 129.84 percent compared to normal conditions. A total of 790,791 vehicles were recorded passing eastbound through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, a significant increase of 129.84 percent from the normal traffic of 344,067 vehicles, indicating high public movement up to H+1 Eid al-Fitr. In a statement in Jakarta on Monday, Corporate Secretary & Legal PT JTT Ria Marlinda Paallo said that the company had prepared various strategic measures to ensure the smooth flow and comfort of road users, particularly in facing the Eid return flow. Based on daily traffic data on 22 March 2026, the number of vehicles heading east on Trans Java reached 61,159 units, or an increase of 128.10 percent compared to normal conditions of 26,812 vehicles. “These figures show that the return flow movement is already visible. To anticipate the increase in vehicle volume, Cikampek Utama GT is operating 22 toll booths towards Jakarta to ensure smooth transactions,” said Ria. To support the smooth return flow, JTT will reapply a 30 percent toll discount for continuous journeys from Kalikangkung GT on the Batang-Semarang section to Cikampek Utama GT on the Jakarta-Cikampek section from 26 March 2026 at 00:00 WIB until 27 March 2026 at 24:00 WIB. In addition, a 23 percent discount on all transactions on the Batang-Semarang section remains in effect from 12 to 31 March 2026. This policy is expected to help distribute traffic more evenly while providing direct benefits to road users.
