PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) has carried out a road safety campaign targeting road users resting at the Km 6 rest area on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road towards Jakarta, as an effort to raise awareness of the importance of safety while driving. GM of Operations and Maintenance at PT JJC, Desti Anggraeni, in Bekasi on Thursday, stated that the campaign was conducted by distributing road safety flyers accompanied by direct education to road users. “The campaign is specifically aimed at drivers of heavy vehicles such as trucks who are resting before continuing their journey,” she said. She explained that several reminders were conveyed to road users during the road safety campaign, such as the importance of using parking bays only in emergency conditions and the prohibition for heavy vehicles not meeting the requirements from passing through the MBZ Elevated Road section. Desti stated that this activity is part of the company’s commitment to improving road safety and minimising potential traffic disruptions caused by vehicle non-compliance or driver negligence. “We hope that through this campaign, road users’ awareness and compliance with traffic rules will increase further,” she said. Her side continues to urge all road users passing through the MBZ Elevated Road section to always prioritise safety aspects by ensuring that both the driver and the vehicle are in prime condition. “By prioritising safety, the journey can proceed safely and comfortably until reaching the destination,” she added.
