JAKARTA - The operator of the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed (MBZ) elevated road section, PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (PT JJC), is implementing a situational open-close system on the entry access towards Cikampek at the discretion of the police. This open-close system is being carried out as an effort to anticipate the impact of high vehicle volumes during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr transportation period. The open-close entry access was implemented on Sunday (22/3/2026) starting at 09:10 WIB. Desti stated that her side, together with the police, continues to monitor and regulate traffic situationally. “The entry access will be reopened once traffic conditions return to normal and under control,” she said. Desti explained that her side continues to urge road users passing through the MBZ elevated road section to always prioritise safety. She also asked drivers to maintain sufficient battery power and fuel (BBM), as well as to anticipate potential weather changes, where rain can affect visibility and road surface conditions. “Road users are also expected to ensure all conditions so that the journey can proceed safely and comfortably until reaching the destination,” she emphasised.
