Jakarta, Kompas.com — PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) is ensuring toll road service during the 2026 Eid holiday exodus by strengthening operational readiness across the entire Trans Java toll road network under its management.

JTT Chief Executive Rudi Kurniadi stated that JTT has deployed 101 tow vehicles distributed across all sections of the Trans Java toll road. In addition, 574 on-call personnel have been prepared and are ready to be mobilised at any time to handle emergency conditions and potential traffic disruptions during the period of heightened public mobility.

JTT is also ensuring service readiness at 40 rest areas spread throughout the Trans Java toll road network, including 2 functional rest areas at KM 439 A and KM 444 B on the Semarang–Solo toll section. Rest area management will focus on cleanliness monitoring, clean water availability, readiness of public facilities such as toilets, vehicle parking arrangement, and readiness of security and sanitation personnel to ensure road users can rest safely and comfortably before continuing their journey.

JTT is projecting an increase in traffic volume during the Eid exodus and return periods for Eid al-Fitr 1447H/2026. For the period of 11 to 31 March 2026, the volume of vehicles passing through Cikampek North toll gate heading towards the East Trans Java region is estimated to reach 1.03 million vehicles, representing an increase of approximately 74.83 per cent compared with normal traffic conditions.

As an anticipatory measure against the potential increase in mobility, JTT has also strengthened maintenance and toll road infrastructure readiness by deploying 244 preservation teams, consisting of pothole patching teams, road reserve space preservation teams, drainage preservation teams, road supplementary facilities preservation teams, and teams for anticipating flooding and landslides.

This readiness is also demonstrated through the implementation of a Kick Off Operational Alert for Eid 1447H/2026 as a demonstration of the company’s preparedness in ensuring the public’s holiday travel is safe, comfortable, and smooth during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2026 periods.

The Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period is one of the moments with quite high public mobility. Therefore, all operational teams are expected to ensure service to road users remains optimal through solid coordination, rapid response to potential traffic disruptions, and continuous infrastructure monitoring.

JTT also appeals to all road users to plan their journeys well, ensure their vehicles are in prime condition, and comply with traffic signs and instructions from field personnel. Road users are also expected to use rest area facilities wisely and rest when feeling tired to maintain safety during their journey.
