Jasamarga: 99,000 Vehicles Crowd Trans-Java Toll Road During Long Holiday
PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded 99,109 vehicles crossing the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road section via the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT) during the long weekend coinciding with International Labour Day. Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal at PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated in Karawang, West Java, on Sunday that for the period from 30 April to 2 May 2026, 99,109 vehicles passed through heading to the eastern Trans-Java region via the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate. She noted that the traffic volume through GT Cikampek Utama (Cikatama) increased by approximately 7.61% compared to normal traffic of 92,096 vehicles. Meanwhile, 86,575 vehicles were recorded from the eastern Trans-Java region heading to Jakarta via GT Cikampek Utama. “That traffic volume rose 5.49% compared to normal traffic of 82,072 vehicles,” she said. Jasamarga also recorded increases in vehicle volumes on several toll road sections managed by the JTT Group in Central Java and East Java. In Central Java, specifically at GT Banyumanik, traffic towards Solo recorded 80,821 vehicles (up 8.57% from normal 74,439 vehicles). Meanwhile, towards Jakarta it reached 58,634 vehicles (up 8.51% from normal 54,035 vehicles). In East Java, at GT Kejapanan Utama, 94,677 vehicles headed to Malang (up 27.12% from normal 74,479 vehicles), and 76,864 vehicles to Surabaya (up 4.30% from normal 73,696 vehicles). Similarly, at GT Singosari, vehicles towards Malang recorded 49,430 (up 12.33% from normal 44,004 vehicles), and towards Surabaya reached 41,863 vehicles (up 12.02% from normal 37,370 vehicles). PT JTT advised Trans-Java toll road users to prioritise safety, plan journeys well, ensure vehicle and driver conditions are optimal, and confirm sufficient fuel and e-money balances before travelling.
