Jasamarga: 319,629 Vehicles Pass Through MKTT Toll Road During 2026 Eid Holiday Period

Jasamarga Nusantara Tollroad Regional Division (JNT/Regional Nusantara) recorded 319,629 vehicles passing through the Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi (MKTT) toll road during the 2026 Eid holiday period. “The traffic volume figure is counted from 11-27 March 2026,” said General Director of PT Jasamarga, Rivan A Purwanto, in an official statement received in Medan on Saturday, 28 March 2026. He stated that during the Eid holiday, the public made extensive use of the toll road services, as the recorded figure showed an increase of 24.52% compared to normal conditions. Rivan said that from the total traffic volume, 97,303 vehicles entered from the Kualanamu Gate from Kualanamu Airport. Meanwhile, vehicles heading to Kualanamu Airport were recorded at 103,894 through the Kualanamu Toll Gate. “Vehicles originating from Kualanamu Airport increased by 21.54%, and those heading to Kualanamu Airport increased by 20.89%,” he said. Overall, he noted that the traffic volume crossing the four toll road sections under Regional Nusantara during the same period also experienced an increase, recording 3,294,279 vehicles. For Eid 2026, he emphasised that the company had made various preparations to ensure that toll road users travel safely and comfortably. Rivan said the company added operational toll booths to speed up transactions, provided mobile riders, and added electronic money top-up points to facilitate road users. Furthermore, they deployed personnel to identify potential security and public order risk areas, provided posts, and ensured 100% functionality of Sisinfokom facilities, particularly closed-circuit television (CCTV) for lanes and toll gate queues. Jasa Marga urged toll road users to anticipate travel during the long holiday period for the religious holiday celebration properly. Before entering the toll road, he said, ensure that the vehicle and driver are in prime condition, confirm sufficient fuel (BBM) and electronic money balance, and comply with signs and instructions from on-site officers.
