Jasa Raharja Transports 23,500 Travellers via Free Mudik Programme 2026
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Jasa Raharja has transported 23,500 mudik travellers to various regions in Indonesia through the Free Mudik Lebaran 2026 programme.
Jasa Raharja’s President Director, Muhammad Awaluddin, stated that this programme represents the company’s tangible concern for the public and is part of efforts to enhance transportation safety during the 2026 Lebaran period.
“The Jasa Raharja Free Mudik Programme is a manifestation of the company’s care for the community who wish to return to their hometowns to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with their families. Through this programme, we aim to ensure that the public can undertake their mudik journeys in a safer, more comfortable, and orderly manner,” said Muhammad Awaluddin in his statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Jasa Raharja is once again organising the Free Mudik Programme as part of the Mudik Bersama BUMN 2026 series.
This year, Jasa Raharja is transporting 23,500 mudik travellers to various destinations across Indonesia via two modes of transport: buses and trains.
For buses, 136 buses have been prepared to serve around 5,640 passengers, including inclusive services with special buses for people with disabilities.
Meanwhile, train services are facilitated through 37 train sets with a capacity of around 17,500 passengers.
In addition to directly transporting mudik travellers, Jasa Raharja has also contributed to supporting local governments by providing bus transport for 3,599 mudik travellers in various provinces, including East Java, Central Java, West Java, South Sumatra, Aceh, South Sulawesi, Banten, and Central Sulawesi.
Furthermore, Awaluddin emphasised that the success of this free mudik programme is inseparable from the collaboration of various parties, particularly state-owned enterprises.
“The 2026 BUMN Free Mudik Programme is a tangible form of collaboration by the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN), Danantara, and 96 state-owned companies in providing direct benefits to the community. This year, we are grateful that the realisation of mudik participants has exceeded the set targets. This demonstrates the high enthusiasm of the public as well as trust in the programme,” he said.
The programme features eight departure points in various regions, with the national activity centre at the GBK area. For the departure schedule, train services were dispatched on 16–17 March 2026 from Pasar Senen Station in Jakarta, while bus services departed on 17 March 2026.
Meanwhile, the Head of the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN), Dony Oskaria, stated that this programme is a tangible manifestation of BUMN’s concern for the community, especially during important moments like Eid al-Fitr.
“The BUMN Free Mudik Programme is an embodiment of mutual cooperation and BUMN’s care for the community. We want to ensure that the public can undertake their mudik journeys in a safer, more comfortable, and secure manner, while also helping to reduce traffic density during the Lebaran period,” said Dony.
He added that the high public participation indicates growing trust in the programme, serving as an indicator of the success of cross-sector collaboration in delivering public services with direct impact.
