Jasa Raharja: Safety Is One Form of Independence

In welcoming the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, PT Jasa Raharja (Persero) continues to strengthen its commitment to safeguarding public mobility so that it takes place more safely, orderly, and with greater protection. This spirit is realised through an agenda titled ‘Kita Indonesia, Bergerak Aman dengan Harapan’ (We Are Indonesia, Moving Safely with Hope), which places safety as part of the nation’s way of nurturing independence in everyday life. The spirit of independence was also present in the commemoration ceremony for the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia held by Jasa Raharja on 17 August 2026. The ceremony was attended by the management and personnel of Jasa Raharja as a momentum to strengthen the national spirit, while reaffirming the company’s commitment to carrying out its public service mandate. Jasa Raharja President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said that independence is not only about the freedom to move, but also about the certainty that every journey can be undertaken safely and with hope. ‘For Jasa Raharja, safety is our way of nurturing independence in daily mobility. The state must be present to ensure that the public can move safely, work calmly, study, do business, and return home with hope. Therefore, every service transformation must start from the needs of the public and provide benefits that are truly felt,’ said Awaluddin. He explained that Jasa Raharja continues to strengthen services that place the public at the centre of every service improvement. Data is not only used to look at figures, but serves as the basis for understanding public needs, accelerating responses, simplifying processes, and ensuring that services become increasingly easy, fast, and relevant. ‘The public is not merely a recipient of services, but the centre of the entire improvement process. Every innovation must answer the real needs of the public, especially when they are in situations that most require protection,’ he said. In line with the direction of transformation and strengthening of governance in accordance with the guidance of BP BUMN and Danantara, Jasa Raharja continues to ensure that every service development delivers a real impact for the public. The transformation is directed not only at improving efficiency and the use of technology, but also at strengthening service quality, data-based decision-making, and the creation of benefits that are increasingly relevant for the public.
