Jasa Raharja Monitors Return Traffic by Checking Rest Stops and Hospitals in Sumatra
Jasa Raharja continues to strengthen its commitment to delivering optimal public services during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr return traffic period. This effort is realised through monitoring operational readiness across Sumatra, particularly towards the regions of Banten, Lampung, and South Sumatra.
The monitoring activities were personally conducted by Director of Compliance and Risk Management Harwan Muldidarmawan starting from Tuesday (24/3). The primary focus of the monitoring includes the return traffic conditions at crucial points such as Merak Port and Bakauheni Port, which serve as the main crossing routes between Java and Sumatra.
As part of the state-owned enterprises within the Danantara Indonesia ecosystem, Jasa Raharja plays a vital role in providing basic protection for accident victims. This visit serves as a strategic step to ensure that all service lines operate optimally, particularly in supporting the smooth flow and safety of the public during the return traffic.
The series of activities began with an inspection of return traffic readiness on the Merak-Bakauheni crossing route through a visit to PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry at Merak Port. Harwan, along with his team, directly reviewed service preparedness, anticipating a surge in passengers and vehicles, and ensuring smooth operations at that critical point. On this occasion, the group also greeted returnees and gathered input as part of strengthening synergy among stakeholders.
After crossing by ferry, the activities continued with a visit to traffic accident victims at RS Urip Sumoharjo as a gesture of empathy and care. Subsequently, Harwan also greeted returnees at the Begadang V Integrated Service Post in Bandar Lampung and delivered sympathetic actions. On that occasion, the release of escorted return traffic for two-wheeled vehicles was also carried out together with police personnel towards Bakauheni Port to ensure the safety of travellers’ journeys.
The inspection continued on Wednesday (25/3), with a visit to South Sumatra via the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road to the Talang Kelapa Integrated Service Post in Banyuasin Regency. This post is one of the critical points on the Palembang-Jambi route that often experiences congestion. At the location, various facilities are available, such as health services, workshops, rest areas, to ambulance fleets and tow trucks to support the needs of returnees.
“We want to ensure that all Jasa Raharja personnel in the field are ready to provide the best, fast, and accurate services. This return traffic momentum serves as a real test of our preparedness in providing protection to the public,” said Harwan, in a written statement on Saturday (28/3/2026).
In addition to inspecting service posts, Harwan also visited accident victims being treated at RS Moh Hoesin. This activity is part of Jasa Raharja’s commitment to being present directly among the public and ensuring that victim handling proceeds according to procedure.
On that occasion, Harwan emphasised the importance of implementing the Zero Pending Claim programme, which ensures no delayed compensation claims. This programme is a tangible manifestation of the state’s presence in providing protection to the public.
“We continue to encourage that every accident victim handling process can be carried out quickly and accurately, without any delays in delivering compensation. This is part of our commitment to delivering premium services and full-hearted empathy,” he added.
Through these activities, it is hoped that all Jasa Raharja units in Banten, Lampung, and South Sumatra will be even more prepared to face the increased mobility of the public during the return traffic. The service commitment is not only realised through operational readiness but also through speed and accuracy in handling accident victims.
