Jambi City (ANTARA) - Jasa Raharja and Jasa Raharja Putra Jambi have distributed assistance to the family of a victim of the electric rail train (KRL) accident in East Bekasi, West Java, on Monday night (27/4), one of whom was a student from Jambi City.

The Head of Jasa Raharja Region Jambi, AAN Agung Abimanyu, in Jambi on Wednesday, stated that the total assistance to the family amounted to Rp90 million, with details of Rp50 million from Jasa Raharja and Rp40 million from Jasa Raharja Putra.

“Jasa Raharja provides basic protection to all members of society who experience traffic and public transport accidents, especially those affecting our sibling,” he said.

He explained that the compensation represents the presence of the state in providing basic protection to the community, as well as a form of Jasa Raharja’s acceleration and accuracy in delivering premium services to the public.

“The latest development from the total of 103 people, 48 victims with minor and serious injuries have been treated in hospitals, 15 victims have died, five of whom have already received maximum compensation within 1x24 hours,” he said.

In addition to providing moral support, the Jambi City Government together with Jasa Raharja ensures that the rights of the deceased are delivered quickly to the heirs.

He hopes that the spirit of the deceased in pursuing knowledge becomes an ongoing jariyah reward.

“We truly feel the grief as parents left by their child. Especially since the deceased was struggling to pursue her studies in Jakarta. We pray that her good deeds are accepted by Allah SWT and the family is granted strength,” he stated.

Alimantun Citra Lestari (19), one of the victims who died in the KRL accident with the Argo Bromo Anggrek train at Bekasi Timur Station.

The victim was a student at one of the private universities in Jakarta. The victim was a resident of RT12, Sungai Asam Village, Pasar Jambi Subdistrict, Jambi City.
