Jasa Raharja Frames Safety as a Form of Independence
In welcoming the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, PT Jasa Raharja (Persero) continues to strengthen its commitment to ensuring public mobility is safer, more orderly, and protected. This spirit is embodied in an agenda titled ‘Kita Indonesia, Bergerak Aman dengan Harapan’ (We Are Indonesia, Moving Safely with Hope), which positions safety as part of the nation’s way of nurturing independence in daily life.
President Director of PT Jasa Raharja Muhammad Awaluddin stated that independence is not only about the freedom to move, but also about the certainty that every journey can be undertaken safely and with hope.
‘For Jasa Raharja, safety is the way we nurture independence in everyday mobility. The state must be present to ensure that people can move safely, work calmly, study, do business, and return home with hope. Therefore, every service transformation must start from the needs of the community and provide benefits that are truly felt,’ Awaluddin said on Thursday (13/8).
He explained that Jasa Raharja continues to strengthen services that place the community at the centre of every improvement. Data is not only used to look at figures, but becomes the basis for understanding community needs, accelerating responses, simplifying processes, and ensuring services become easier, faster, and more relevant.
‘The community is not merely a recipient of services, but the centre of the entire improvement process. Every innovation must genuinely answer the community’s needs, especially when they are in situations that most require protection,’ he said.
In line with the transformation direction and governance strengthening as directed by BP BUMN and Danantara, Jasa Raharja continues to ensure that every service development provides real impact for the community. The transformation is directed not only at increasing efficiency and utilising technology, but also at strengthening service quality, data-based decision-making, and creating benefits that are increasingly relevant for the community.
Awaluddin emphasised that Jasa Raharja’s mandate under Law Number 33 and Number 34 of 1964 is part of the national social protection system. Therefore, Jasa Raharja’s presence is not only realised through the delivery of compensation, but also through a service system that ensures accident victims obtain their rights quickly, accurately, and humanely.
Up to July 2026, Jasa Raharja has disbursed compensation amounting to Rp1.948 trillion to 91,836 accident victims across Indonesia. Jasa Raharja has also collaborated with 2,857 hospitals, with an average death compensation payment speed of 1 day and 35 minutes, and injury compensation of 4 days, 11 hours, and 9 minutes. This achievement is part of the company’s commitment to ensuring the state is present through basic protection for traffic accident victims.
In addition to compensation services, Jasa Raharja also continues to strengthen accident prevention efforts through various transport safety programmes. Up to July 2026, the company has realised 4,872 transport safety action plan activities, which include safety education and campaigns, training, collaboration with various stakeholders, and mapping of accident-prone areas.
‘Protection is best when accidents can be prevented. Therefore, Jasa Raharja is not only present after a disaster occurs, but also continues to build a safety culture together with the community, government, police, hospitals, and all partners who are part of the national transport safety ecosystem,’ Awaluddin said.
Through the spirit of ‘Kita Indonesia, Bergerak Aman dengan Harapan’, Jasa Raharja invites the entire community to make safety part of the meaning of independence.
