Jasa Raharja Disburses Rp1.22 Trillion in Compensation up to May 2026
PT Jasa Raharja has disbursed compensation totalling Rp1.22 trillion to 55,617 victims of traffic accidents and public transport passengers up to May 2026. “We want to ensure that every victim or heir receives their rights quickly, accurately, and transparently,” said Jasa Raharja President Director Muhammad Awaluddin in an official statement received in Jakarta on Wednesday. He stated that the compensation service represents the state’s presence in providing basic protection to citizens affected by accidents. According to him, Jasa Raharja continues to strengthen digital transformation so that compensation services are more accessible, faster, and provide certainty for victims or their heirs. Of the total compensation, Rp581 billion was disbursed to 10,734 deceased victims, while Rp641 billion was provided to 44,883 injured victims. Awaluddin said that service digitalisation is being reinforced, among other ways, through integration with hospitals via the JRCare application. Up to May 2026, 2,841 hospitals have been connected to Jasa Raharja’s service system, simplifying the administration and guarantee process for injured victims. This integration allows accident victims to receive medical treatment more quickly without being hindered by guarantee procedures. “We believe that the best protection is not only realised through fast compensation services, but also through various efforts to prevent accidents,” he said. He added that digital transformation is also directed at strengthening data-based transport safety strategies. Throughout January to May 2026, Jasa Raharja has implemented 3,354 transport safety programmes across various regions. These programmes include traffic safety education, safety riding training, emergency first aid, accident-prone area mapping, traffic communication forums, and joint operations with relevant agencies. Jasa Raharja also recorded that the average settlement time for death compensation can now be completed within approximately one day and five hours. Meanwhile, the issuance of guarantee letters for injured victims is completed in an average of four days and eight hours. Awaluddin noted that increased public mobility throughout 2026 has also affected the number of accidents covered by Jasa Raharja’s protection. Therefore, he said, the company continues to strengthen collaboration with the Indonesian National Police, the Ministry of Transportation, local governments, hospitals, academics, communities, and other stakeholders. “Jasa Raharja’s success is not only measured by the speed of compensation disbursement, but also by our contribution to reducing accident risks through education, collaboration, and strengthening a transport safety culture,” Awaluddin concluded.
