Jasa Raharja Commemorates Kartini Day Through Women's Empowerment
Every April, the name R.A. Kartini reminds us that the struggle for women never stops. She spoke not only about equality but also about the courage to be independent, make decisions, and bring about positive changes in life.
Jasa Raharja’s Director of Institutional Relations, Dewi Aryani Suzana, stated that Kartini’s spirit remains highly relevant in the context of today’s women.
“Being a modern woman is about having the courage to stand tall, make choices, and be independent in every path of life we choose. Independence is not just about proving oneself, but about believing that we have the power to bring about change. This is the spirit that Mother Kartini once fought for,” said Dewi in a written statement on Tuesday (21/4/2026).
According to her, this spirit now lives in the daily lives of Indonesian women and has transformed into extraordinary energy in the hands of Indonesia’s great women.
“The modern Kartinis are those who step forward resiliently and independently, those who drive the economy, those who tenderly nurture love and hope from within the home, and those who bring real benefits to their surroundings,” Dewi explained.
This spirit is also evident in women who can rise amid difficult situations. In this context, Jasa Raharja plays a role not only as a provider of basic protection for traffic accident victims but also as part of an ecosystem that supports women’s empowerment.
Traffic accidents impact not only the victims but also the families left behind. Many women must take on new roles as the family’s backbone after losing their husbands. Moreover, traffic accident victims are often productive-age men, which can drastically alter the family’s economic structure.
In such situations, the presence of the state through protection and assistance becomes crucial.
