Jasa Marga Urges Toll Users to Use One e-Toll Card, Here's Why
PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk is urging toll road users to use the same electronic money (e-toll) card when transacting, especially on routes with a closed system. This urging applies to transactions when tapping at the entry and exit toll gates, such as on the Cipularang, Padaleunyi toll roads, and the JORR II Toll Road. βThe same electronic card is used when tapping at the entry toll gate and also at the exit,β said Senior General Manager of Jasamarga Metropolitan Widiyatmiko Nursejati in his statement in Jakarta on Thursday (19/3/2026). On H-3 of the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah holiday or Wednesday (18/3), the Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Division (JMT) recorded traffic volume leaving Jabodetabek towards Merak and Puncak Bogor through Cikupa Toll Gate (GT) and Ciawi 1 GT reaching 94,561 vehicles. This number increased by 16.54 per cent compared to normal conditions of 81,140 vehicles. In detail, the traffic volume at GT Cikupa towards Merak was recorded at 49,913 vehicles, up 4.32 per cent from normal conditions of 47,847 vehicles. In the West Java region, traffic volume towards Bandung or Rancaekek and surroundings was recorded at 76,460 vehicles, up 15.26 per cent compared to normal conditions of 66,336 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles leaving Bandung and Rancaekek towards Jakarta through the same toll gates were recorded at 56,257 vehicles, down 2.16 per cent compared to normal conditions of 57,499 vehicles. Furthermore, traffic volume towards Rancaekek, Garut, and surroundings through Cileunyi GT was recorded at 44,852 vehicles, increasing 37.87 per cent from normal conditions of 32,533 vehicles. The traffic volume towards Bandung City through Pasteur GT was recorded at 31,608 vehicles, down 6.49 per cent compared to normal conditions of 33,803 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles leaving Bandung City towards Jakarta through Pasteur GT were recorded at 26,673 vehicles, 7.27 per cent lower compared to normal conditions of 28,765 vehicles. Jasa Marga predicts that vehicle volume in the Bandung and Jabodetabek regions will still increase on Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah day, in line with rising travel for tourism and family visits.
