JAKARTA – PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk is accelerating its toll road preservation programme ahead of the Lebaran holiday exodus in 2026. The initiative is intended to ensure toll roads remain safe and comfortable during periods of increased public mobility.

Recent heavy rainfall has triggered pavement damage on the toll network. Deterioration has also been exacerbated by high traffic loads, including overweight vehicles and oversized loads.

Jasa Marga Chief Executive Officer Rivan A. Purwantono stated that all pavement defects are targeted for completion before the holiday travel period. “We are targeting all toll road pavement defects to be handled optimally by 14 March 2026,” Rivan said in an official statement.

The accelerated repair work is being undertaken to maintain optimal operational service on toll roads and meet Minimum Service Standards. The repairs are also designed to protect the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of road users during the Lebaran exodus and return journey.

“To this end, we are conducting this preservation process massively and in a coordinated manner so that every toll section reaches prime service level,” he explained. “By placing safety as our primary priority, Jasa Marga is committed to delivering safe, comfortable, and secure Lebaran travel. We once again apologise to road users,” Rivan added.
