PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk is strengthening its business transformation to drive the creation of sustainable economic and social value. Jasa Marga President Director Rivan A. Purwantono stated in Jakarta on Wednesday that transformation serves as the company’s foundation for enhancing competitiveness through the implementation of good governance, innovation, digitalisation, organisational capability development, and service quality improvement. Rivan explained that this move aligns with the direction of state-owned enterprise (BUMN) transformation under the coordination of Danantara Indonesia, shifting the company’s strategy from infrastructure-based growth orientation towards sustainable value creation. According to Rivan, this approach means the company is not solely focused on the construction and operation of toll roads, but is also building a transportation infrastructure ecosystem that can strengthen connectivity, drive the economy, and improve the public’s travel experience. “We want the infrastructure managed by Jasa Marga to provide greater benefits than just connecting one region to another. Infrastructure must also be a driver of economic growth, strengthen public trust, and create sustainable value. This is the infraculture spirit we continue to build,” Rivan explained. He noted that Jasa Marga is the largest toll road developer and operator in Indonesia, currently holding a 42 per cent market share of the total length of commercial toll roads in operation, spanning 1,294 kilometres. “The company also manages 36 toll road concessions with a total length of 1,736 kilometres and serves approximately 3.5 million vehicles daily,” he said. Rivan explained that this scale of management encourages the company to continuously enhance the customer experience through technology-based service development, improved operational reliability, and strengthened interaction quality with road users. One implementation of digital transformation is the Jasamarga Tollroad Command Center (JMTC), a data-based operational control centre that supports traffic monitoring, incident handling, and real-time decision-making. The presence of JMTC enables the integration of all traffic conditions and data to accelerate response and emergency handling in the field. In addition to optimising the JMTC, the company is also enhancing personalised services through the Travoy (Travel with Comfort and Joy) application. As of early July 2026, the number of app downloads had reached more than 1.3 million users. Service transformation is also carried out by strengthening the call centre, changing the number from 14080 to 133, which earned the ‘Exceptional’ predicate and first place in the Contact Center Service Excellence Award 2025. Jasa Marga is also rejuvenating rest areas so they not only serve as stopover points but also develop into destinations that can provide a travel experience while creating added value for the community and business players. In terms of performance, the company recorded positive growth in the first quarter of 2026 with operating revenue of Rp5.1 trillion, an increase of 10.4 per cent compared to the same period the previous year. This achievement was supported by toll revenue of Rp4.7 trillion and other operating revenue of Rp397.6 billion. The company’s EBITDA was recorded at Rp3.4 trillion with an EBITDA margin of 66.1 per cent. Going forward, the company is continuing the construction of several strategic toll road sections, such as Probolinggo–Banyuwangi, Yogyakarta–Bawen, Solo–Yogyakarta–YIA Kulon Progo, Jakarta–Cikampek II Selatan, and the Patimban Access.
